S.I., ARTS COUNCIL

That's good news. It's one thing for the arts to be encouraged, but when it's a fragmented approach, competing factions often doom the effort. I hope this winds up being a unified, successful venture.

Thanks Laura. We are starting a new campaign with Be Indypendent in the fall meant to focus on local businesses. I'll be sure to let you know how your resident businesses can join in.

Hello! I manage the historic Chamber of Commerce Building at 320 N. Meridian Street where we lease office and retail space to many Indypendent businesses. We love to support local artists by featuring new artists and thier work in our lobby every 6 weeks. Come check out all the Indypendent shops available on our 1st floor.

From Cafe Zuppa (who also features local artists on their walls) to Enza's Boutique, Papalia Family Tailoring, The Atrium Barber & Beauty Shop, Pamper Me Services, and so much more!

For more information on our building, please visit our website at www.cofcbuilding.com

Hi Darnell, the best way to know what is going on and ways to get involved is to sign up for the Arts Council of Indianaplis weekly indyarts e-news where Be Indypendent has a "pick of the week" Also, the council offers a weekly Artist Opportunities E-newsletter that goes out each Wednesday to over 2,000 artists and arts administrators that lets you know about calls for artists, audition notices, employment in the arts, etc. Sign up for both (for free) at indyarts.org.

I teach Hands On Greek Cooking Classes and now have started a meal delivery service for those who have dietary restrictions like Celiac or Diabetics and for those who just don't have time to make a healthy homecooked meal. I take a list of ingredients that can be eaten, can't be eaten and would not like to be eaten and develop individual recipes. I then prepare a weeks worth of meals for them which includes appetizer/soup, main dish with side and dessert and I then deliver their order to their homes once a week on designated day. I prefer lists that have been given to them from their doctors to help with the recipe development and to make sure they get the nutrients that they need. I try to use only Organic and Fresh ingredients to prepare Gluten/Wheat Free, Dairy Free, Vegan/Vegetarian meals. If you know of anyone who can use my help with this service please pass the word, my website is cookinggreek.web.officelive.com or they can email me at cookinggreek@live.com. Thank you for helping me pass the word!

Thanks Shannon. I registered with indyarts.com about a month ago but didn't receive the e-newsletter. I'll check. Thanks for the reply :)
