I just got a Brickhouse Child locator and I can already feel less grey hair coming in....it doesn't work anywhere near 600 feet- more like 200 feet, but I am so much calmer knowing I can find my 7 1/2 boy with Autism. I got him a water-proof wrist band to wear the tag in. He calls it his "checkin" watch and doesn't seem to mind wearing it (shock!) or when I check in on him! I recommend it to any other parent who was loosing their minds chasing their kid around....

Hi Bill, I don't think anyone in here has ever mentioned medication, at least as far as I recall. I know my son isn't on any and I don't intend to medicate him.

The main reason I am here is to let you know there are other ways besides drugs to help with autism with no side effects. If you are interested, contact me.

For those who don't already know about it, there are a few Meetup.com Groups for autism. One is For young Adults on the spectrum and the other one is for parents, family members, teachers, therapists and those on the spectrum. I hope that this helps those who are looking to reach out and get to meet others going through the same things.

Welcome to the Special Needs Alliance
The Special Needs Alliance is a national, non-profit organization committed to helping individuals with disabilities, their families, and the professionals who represent them. Our attorneys are some of the most credentialed public benefits and disability law attorneys in the country, many of whom are themselves parents and siblings of children with disabilities.

Individuals with disabilities, their families, as well as professionals who represent them, face a host of unique legal issues and other challenges unfamiliar to most of their peers:

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:

1. We want to know the real you...Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. We want to know the real you...Please do NOT use your Smaller Indiana blog for blatant self promotion

3. We want to see your smiling face...Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

4. Events should be posted in the events calendar, not inside blog posts

5. Please do NOT post commercial video (demo reels), or Corporate Website promotions in your blog

6. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

7. Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
