The unifying voice of advertising in Indianapolis

It is time for Indianapolis to be recognized as a center of creative and communications excellence. Together we have an opportunity to choose to have a vibrant, collegiate and professional community. Together we can help attract young and seasoned professionals, improve diversity, provide professional development, promote networking and recognize creative excellence.

Strong creative markets across the country have a common factor — an active community of professionals. Indianapolis is emerging as a tier one city. If we are to take our rightful place as a strong advertising community, we must support and promote our members and bring recognition to the great work being done in our market.

This is a time of change. We are changing our name. We are returning to the Addy Awards — the largest and most recognized advertised competition in America. We are inclusive and are reaching out to professionals across the arts and sciences of advertising and to those who seek to enhance their professional skills. We understand quality, professional development programming and are creating meaningful opportunities for networking.

We were founded as the second advertising club in the United States 107 years ago. We have a proud heritage and a bright future. Your involvement and participation to help us realize that future is needed.

In 1990, I produced a local tv show, "It's My Life" and I am trying to locate 29 actors who were involved in the production. So far I have located 8 of them, as far away as Florida and Montana. I am planning a 20 year reunion and would like to release the "It's My Life" series on You Tube...If you happen to know anyone who was involved, let me know at sandyrusk@netscape.net.
I am still looking for:
Katina Colwell (Brook), Bill Greenlee (Robin), Lainie Thomas (Melanie), Mark Ray (Brad), Kelly Myers (Jenni), Charles Guin (Brody), Dallas Radford (Johnny), Amy Bentley (Grace), Eric Castor (Kevin) Amy Wainscott (Dagny), Danielle Mays (Corrine), Kristi Wilkerson (Leslie), Carmen Zambrano (Joanne), Kristine Crabtree (Jackie), Chris Pictor (Josh), April Griffith (Rozy), Derrick Price (Joe), Ann Monahan (Angela), Chris Monahan (Madelyn), Mary Rife (Shelly), Stephen Gibson (Micheal)

...since this was 20 years ago, most of the actors would be in their mid 30's to early 40's.

On March 26th an art exhibit of the best advertising and design being done in Indianapolis will open in the Indianapolis Arts Garden. AAF Indianapolis members will select their own best work to be exhibited and to appear in an online portfolio. Tom Hirschauer , President of Publicis, is chairing this event and will be sending detailed information to the AAF email list. To get on the email list, subscribe at Exact Target or send an email to me at thirons@hirons.com. We will post a link here to the information as well.

1. Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

3. Events should be posted in the events calendar

4. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
