Making people and ideas findable

Most churches want them turned off, but one North Carolina church encouraged its members to use their cell phones, BlackBerrys and other devices to help spread the word during Easter services.

Next Level church in Union County was alive with Twitter during the Easter Sunday service, The Charlotte Observer reported Monday.

"I hope many of you are tweeting this morning about your experience with God," Pastor Todd Hahn said before his sermon.

Seems several flocks are twittering these days (including Trinity Church in NYC).

Great reference and point! Overall I don't feel that Tweeting during church would be something that I would feel comfortable doing. That's one area of my life that allows me to unplug from the reality world we live in and reflect and learn in the presence of God. If there was something important or relevant that I'd like to pass along, I'd most likely send out a tweet after the service. Overall, though, that's one of the few times that my attention is undivided.

Have a great Wednesday!

Oh my. You are just asking for it aren't you. (Deanna is seen taking a several steps back from where Joe is standing to avoid over shot)

I don't know if twitter is bringing me closer to God but I sometimes feel the connection to other human beans as I see their experience of life mirroring mine.

I'm fairly certain that the Obama administration is seeking legislation to require some portion of the bailout funds be used to prove that God exists. Our Congressional delegation is working hard to see that money destined for Indiana will be the money used for this important effort.

I got all the proof I needed when Obama got elected.

Ooh snap! Pissing off the Conservatives AND the Atheists at the same time. How many people can do that in 11 words or less?!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Erik -- I got exactly the opposite confirmation when he was elected.
