Who would you like to be the next President of the United States of America?

I would like to know who you would like and why. I am far from being an expert in Politics, but from what I read and hear I don't think that Obama is heading in the right direction. I am a Conservative and did Not vote for Obama. I don't trust this man. He is a great speaker, but not a great leader. I fear that by the time he is finished with his first and Only term, we will be so much further in debt than we could have ever imagined. I hope that someone like Mitch Daniels runs for President. I trust him, and trust is something we need in our President. Mr. Daniels does what he says he's going to do. He creates jobs, and That's what we need to be doing right now! Not throwing money at problems and hoping it fixes it self.

I like Mitch as well and think he would do a good job. I like him for Pres and Mike Pence back here as Governor. I wish JC Watts would come back out and be the VEEP.

Integrity is so key here. We have been sorely lacking in that quality for years in government.

Here's an idea: vote out every incumbent next term.

Scott, I always vote against the incumbent. The best place to move career politicians is to the place where they can do the last damage: private life.

Well, after Obama has his enevitable second term, I imagine Hillary will take another stab at it. She wants it, and seems dissatisfied by being remembered in history as Madeleine Albright 2.0. She will most likely dominate the next few years on the Dem's side. Whether or not that is a positive or effective, is a whole other story.

The Right-Wing, on the other hand, will probably have someone equal to or greater than Darth Vader heading the their party. All the while, they'll keep up the propaganda and scare tactics to hang on to voters. lol

Seriously though, I feel like the 'Integrity-Factor' that Scott brought up is something that really IS lacking. It seems becoming part of some of these questionable social and corporate circles for the sake of political placement, consideration and gain quickly erodes the persons ability to keep a grasp on reality and morality. It becomes more about getting an act in the center ring of the circus and less about the voter/taxpayer.

I think that we will continue to see these lesser-known candidates (Like Obama, Palin) that run on the assumption that their lack of experience directly translates into a lack of corruption and bullsh*t.
However, we will probably also see many, many incumbent reelections as the economy starts to stabilize and Health Care gridlock is resolved.

Hillary is unelectable. That is why Obama beat her in the primary. The fastest way to put the Republicans back in the White House would be a Clinton run.

Integrity is not what people really want in politics. They want their way, and it is sad. Honesty gets mugged at the door to the polls by greed.

Our presidential races have become a bizarre combination of a pissing contest and a game of who can tell the biggest can get away with the biggest whopper. Just watch the fact check after the debate... it's not who lied - it's how often and how off base they are. We view the lies as part of the game.

Oh, and scare tactics are exactly how everyone seems to be getting elected these days. People vote for very self destructive things because they are easily scared.
