In the Old Northside neighborhood, I love Goose the Market and Teas Me Cafe--especially in the summertime. Great, local food, great Indy-centric owners and I can walk there from work!

Palominos....I love getting a table outside, drinking a mojito and watching the world wander by. It is a very dynamic corner.

Hmmm...South Side....one of the best orginal places is Hal's Fabulous Las Vegas...great dining out. I also love The Oaken Barrel Brewpub...and one of the newest in our line up ...Fireside Brewhouse.

Ditto! The M-80's at Fireside are incredible! I'm also a fan of Hal's, and Vito Provolone's at 135 and Stop 11 is always nice for a non-chain Italian meal.

Southside: We've been loving Kat's Pub in Camby lately. It's bar food, but it's really good, and very affordable. Their double bacon cheeseburger with fries is $4.50. We only go in in the evenings, so we've only eaten when Richard has cooked.

They've got great drink specials also. Everyday, their draft beer is $2, mixed drinks and shots are $3, and Sailor Jerry shots are $2. On Wednesdays they have $2 Jager and Cherry Bombs and a few other specials.

Just don't go there if you're on a diet!

Love Thai Spice on County Line Rd, across the street from the Mall. The Bean Cup, just a block away, is my favorite coffee shop on the south side.

Downtown is MacNiven's on Mass Ave., the Claddagh on S. Meridian, the Ram and Weber Grill on Illinois.

Erik,
I am with you on the Weber Grill downtown. Unless it is an extenuating circumstance, that is where I eat downtown! Their beer can chicken is phenomenal. And those pretzel rolls* with the Wisconsin beer cheese spread....I can't get enough of them.

*If you haven't had the pretzel rolls you must try them! Imagine a soft pretzel (with no salt) but in the shape of a dinner roll. MMMM!

I loved the pretzel rolls. I had never had anything like it. I could have eaten nothing but that for dinner.

I fill my pockets....and intentionally wear cargo shorts!

I love just about anything on Mass Ave and prefer to do all my buying/dining there; especially like Elements and R bistro. Chatam Tap is a great bar/pub, with no smoking! (again on Mass Ave) I just realized I like them all for kind of the same reasons: they are quaint, service is great, wine list at the two restaurants are just large enough of the best stuff and all of them support someone local.

Santorini Greek Kitchen on Prospect near Fountain Square. Great burgers and other great foods at Barringer's Tavern on South Meridian at Pleasant Run Parkway. I've heard great things about Yokohama in Oldtown Greenwood. A MONSTROUS one pound burger at Joe's Diner on South Shelby just north of UIndy. Bosphorus Istanbul Cafe on South East Street across from the Lilly campus. I've always liked Bourbon Street Distillery at Senate and Vermont, but their burgers are a bit overcooked even when ordered medium. Great fish 'n chips lunch special the Lockerbie Pub on E. Michigan at College.
