Shelly-

I might suggest you join Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE). A portion of their membership are event planners for non-profits and associations, as well as companies that specialize in event planning for these organizations and hotel sales persons. In fact, the current president of ISAE is Sara Nash, the Executive Director of the Indiana Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (IMPI). Their website is www.isae.org. Tell them I sent you!

Hi Laura!
I just read your post and I am currently looking for a job with event planning as a focus. Do you know of anyone in the field that is hiring?
Thanks

I don't know of anyone hiring at this time, but you might check ISAE's website: www.isae.org. Their members are allowed to post jobs free of charge, so they often use this service.

Also, ISAE has these events called "5:05 Clubs". They're kind of informal gatherings where members and non-members can mingle with one another. I think those dates are on their website, as well. It can't hurt to network!
