Making people and ideas findable

What is your favorite morning ritual? What do you get from it?

My favorite morning ritual is chanting in front of my alter, then walking my dog. Totally sets my mind and body straight. Oh, and let's not forget the joy of feeding the feral cats and my squirrels and birds. I love watching those fat little squirrels pick up little bird seeds and nuts in their teeny tiny hands! So sweet!

If I could roll out of bed at 5am, running would also be my favorite morning ritual. But getting to work by 8am, makes it a little hard.

I have to be at work by 8 a.m., doesn't stop me! But I totally understand.

Each morning, I do exercises and stretching while watching about 30 minutes of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. It gets me focused on the day's goals so I meet my larger goal of traveling the world.

Coffee, coffee, coffee, then bathroom. :-) Then RUN.

Yes, coffee and the hitting the bathroom are definitely necessities in the morning!

I'm still awake in the morning, so, I guess I don't really have one. I don't have a dog, or a squirrel, or a treadmill, and I don't drink coffee. I think I'll just sleep longer so as to not feel inferior to all of the morning rituals you guys have.

Hitting the snooze button a million times, stretching, going for a run and then......a nice hot cup of tea out on my deck or (if I am running late)...sipped while getting ready. When I miss any of these, then my day is a little off-kilter.....when they all are in sync, then my day is happy and centered (at least in the beginning)....
