Making people and ideas findable

Hi!

I do a bit of contract work/virtual assisting for the company I used to work for, but the company has two offices that I work with and the client base is scattered all over country -- at least this side of the Mississippi. In order to cut travel time and expense for all of us, we're trying to find the perfect web conferencing and teaching packages. We specifically want one that includes voice and webcam capability, plus the ability to record and archive the meetings/classes. So far, Adobe Connect Pro seems to be a great product. Has anyone here on SI ever used it? Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks for your help and input!

Anita - If your goal is to do application/desktop sharing, then I would also check out dimdim.com and vyew.com as alternatives to Connect. Gotomeeting is a good option IMO, but not free. All the web meeting services are improving, but I still hear mixed reviews. As for audio, my experience is that any built in VOIP offerings are subject to network issues and often do not provide the quality that most companies demand - especially if you are going to have clients involved. If you don't mind having the clients dial long distance, you can check out the free conference providers. I'm with an Indianapolis based conference provider - www.heyotto.com. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks, Jason! I am familiar with Gotomeeting and I'm learning about dimdim, but I haven't looked into vyew.com yet. I appreciate the tips and I may be in touch with more questions.

Happy New Year!
