Making people and ideas findable

My company, Brandswag, has been designing some Tequila bottles for a manufacturer out of Mexico. The tequila is going to be priced at about $45.00 a bottle. Out of the pictures below which bottle would you pick/buy.

Thank you so much for your help!

I like #4 I have bartended for over 30 years and we have had some bottles that are similar in shape. I think the bottle is cool and different which might make it stand out. It's alll about the marketing and standing out in a crown. definitely not the patron bottle.

#2 is the one that stood out to me the most. I don't have any reason to back that up. It just did.

I also prefer #2. Being clumsy, I see the #3 slipping right out of my hand.

#1 reminds me of what olive oil may come in.
#2 is cliche, typical, BUT familiarity breeds results time and time again. This one is tough, because the designer in me says NO, but the marketing guy in me says it could be worth a shot.
#3 Different. eye-catching shape. says smooth (hmm, literally at the bottom too!), sexy, sophisticated. I'd keep this on my shelf long after the tequila and lime are down the hatch.
#4 This says I cost 19.95 at CVS. Take away the logo and you have a jug that could be used as a spitoon or single flower vase in a 22 year old yuppie's humble Broad Ripple Pottery Barn wanna be abode.

So, #3 has my ultimate vote.

Hey Kyle,

Some thoughts on this not in terms of a one-off bottle...but what about that bottle sitting on the shelf next to another tequila in the liquor store or bar. I'm with some of the others in that I wouldn't do Bottle 4 because it's like Patron. So I'd view it as a knock-off of Patron. Bottle 2 doesn't evoke "smooth" to me and if I can't see through the bottle to see how clear the tequila is (or see the worm I'm about to drink!) I might get scared. Bottle 3 could be interesting, but would be curious to know how that would compare to other tequilas on the shelf. That might stand out enough to get noticed. Bottle 1 could work too. I think most people would be able to recognize the big agave leaves. But then again, looking at Bottle 2 -- that looks like it's supposed to be glurgged down like Jaegermeister. Not something I'd equate to a fine tequila.

So my vote would be Bottle 1.

Kyle...Bottle # 4 is our Family choice..It looks easier to use...You can grab it by the neck and pour, and set it down with a sense of stability and lack of concern that it will tip over...A solid, substantial look and feel to the bottle..

Going back to my point about #2 - It appears the votes are leaning this way so far. Familiarity can be good I suppose, BUT is it great? Don't know. I just believe it can be better - much better (IMHO). There's nothing remarkable about doing what so many others are doing. Your designs are great. Finish it off with a perfect marriage with the bottle design.

Just a little inspiration (or not) ;)

Kyle, I like bottles #3 and #4.

Why? They look like REAL tequila bottles like you see in Mexico. I like #3 the best because it looks like a classic tequila similar to a good scotch, bourbon, whiskey, gin, vodka bottle - almost old school with a contemporary flair.

Beautiful work!

Best,
Jules

I love the shape of # 2. But not the artwork. I love the etched texture on the bottom of # 3. I would love to see that combined with the shape of # 2.

# 1 looks low end, and I don't like tht i can not see through # 4.
