Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

TrendyMinds is the official Indianapolis “Team Captain” for TasteCasting, an exciting new food marketing company utilizing social media and good old-fashioned word-of-mouth to give restaurants, cafes, bakeries and other food establishments great exposure.

TasteCasting, already in 12 cities, identifies social media influencers and other networked individuals in each market and utilizes their influence to provide word-of-mouth marketing and PR for participating restaurants. These restaurants organize a free tasting for this select group of influencers and, in return, these influencers tweet, Facebook, blog and YouTube away, giving their followers real time, honest reviews. There’s no fee for restaurants (other than providing the food for the tasting) or the TasteCasters (influencers). This is word-of-mouth marketing in its purest (and most effective) form!

Want to join in the fun, sample delicious, free food and review great restaurants in the area? We're looking for TasteCasters in Indianapolis.

An ideal TasteCaster:

* Is social-media savvy
* Has an established following on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Myspace, etc.
* Is reliable and professional
* Is open to tasting a wide variety of foods, from French fries to foie gras
* Is enthusiastic about sharing their opinions with others

If you think you’d make a terrific TasteCaster, email info@trendyminds.com. Please include a brief pitch as to why you’re an ideal TasteCaster, along with links to your social media presence. We’ll contact those who are qualified with further details. Please not that this is NOT a paid position, but the perks are great -- you get awesome free food AND get to build your following.

We’re also looking for restaurants and other food establishments that are interested in hosting a TasteCasting. If you’d like to have a team of TasteCasters review your food and spread the word about your establishment, please contact us at info@trendyminds.com.
