Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

I working on a project and I'd like to get a photo Indianapolis to use has a header graphic. I'd prefer to find a wideshot of Indy, but I'd be open to different kinds of photos. Does anyone know of a photographer or a site that sells the type of photos I'm looking for?

Some of those on iStockphoto can be found for free with a Google image search. Not sure what the terms of use would be - you could always ask for permission to used them.

I actually searched Flickr and requested permission on a couple of occasions if I could use some photos, and even manipulate them. No one has ever said no. We have nice folks here!

I can share some of my own, or take on the job of collecting what you need.

Maybe you could go with a homely feel with the canal, or with more of a community feel with Military Park, which keeps the downtown image in the distance. I am not sure what exactly you want included, but these are photos I have in stock.

Stock.xchng has a lot of royalty free images on their site. I searched "Indianapolis" and it looked like they have some nice shots on there. So, check that site out.

I've got a lot of stock photos of Indianapolis, optimized to 72dpi for the Web, which you may use for free if you find something that fits your needs. Let me know.
