Making people and ideas findable

I have a student with special needs and he requires accommodations for testing. He has an IEP (individual education plan) on file at his school that details his specific needs requiring by law that the school make accommodations. I did not hear about the problems with the accommodation for the PSAT until I received an e-mail for another parent this weekend. I have struggled for several years in meeting after meeting to have my son's needs met. This has come with great difficulty. I joined PEACZ in hopes to stay informed and educated on the rights of my son. Yet I feel we have made little progress in seeing any changes in how Zionsville Community School values its Special needs students.

PEACZ is a non-profit organization committed to helping Zionsville students with special needs get the education and resources they need to thrive.
PEACZ

Currently Zionsville missed the deadline for PSAT accommodations for the freshman class. The test for the class is this Wednesday. Who dropped the ball in special education for an entire class?

Know anything about this?? Who else would like to write a response? Students had to be registered by Sept. 9, 2009 to receive any accommodations. Here’s the link for the dates for materials, published over 6 months in advance of all tests. http://www.collegeboard.com/ssd/student/time.html#psat
Come on Zionsville why do you continue to neglect your special needs students?
