Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

There are so many fun things going on this weekend, and I am super-excited about the art events I plan on attending, so I thought I would share.

Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre's India Ever After at Pike Performing Art Center Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13 at 8:00 p.m. GHDT will feature dance works set to music in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, choreographed in Bollywood style. Tickets are $25 through the Pike PAC box office www.pikepac.org. There will also be a catered Indian dinner that begins at 6:30...not sure if there is an additional cost for this or not, but YUM! This definitely adds to the whole experience.

Talbot Street Art Fair - FREE to the public, and one of the funnest art fairs during the summer. The event takes place Saturday June 13, 10:00 - 6:00 and Sunday June 14, 10:00 - 5:00. The fair takes place in the blocks between Pennsylvania and Delaware streets & 16th and 20th streets in downtown Indy.

What about you? What are you doing this weekend?

Thanks for posting this! I always forget about the Talbot Street Art Fair and usually miss my chance to go. My weekend just got booked :)

I love Talbot Street Art Fair! I am aiming to attend on Saturday, but I have a lot going on so I might go on Sunday instead.

I'll be at Talbot Street, probably around 2 or 3. If anyone else is going, do we want to do a quick meetup?

Harrison Center for the Arts at 2:30 on Saturday? The Center is right on Delaware, and there's a music fest taking place on their lawn. VSA arts is also having an ice cream social there from 11-5. If you purchase ice cream you get to keep a handmade ceramic bowl from one of their artists. Proceeds go toward their programs.

Don't wait around for me too long. Like I said, I am kind of playing it by ear on whether I'll make it on Saturday or not.
