Making people and ideas findable

I'm in need of a book editor for a non-fiction book I've just finished. Do you know of anyone?

Hi Lynn,

I offer editing and proofreading services as a virtual assistant. You can visit my website for more information and rates (www.outofofficepros.com). I'd love to get together or talk on the phone, if you're interested!

I forgot to mention that I have hourly rates and per page rates depending on the service or project. Editing services are normally billed on a per page basis.

Thanks,
Christina

You might want to contact Leah Jackman-Wheitner (leah@lifedesignconcepts.net). Always a great help, she ghost writes books for people. Her website is www.lifedesignconcepts.net/bio.htm.

Hi! My cousin in Austin, Jill Tucker, may be interested in this. She used to work as an editor at Lilly, and she quit to pursue editing and writing on her own. You may reach her at jilldtucker@yahoo.com.

Best wishes!

I know of a GREAT editor here in town. She is amazing and can edit almost anything, but if she can't or is too busy, she can also give you great recommendations. Her name is Heidi Newman. Just let me know if you want her contact information. She is also a great person to know in the publishing world here in Indy.

THanks Carla---can you give me her contact information? I'd really appreciate it.

I can probably help. I am a freelance professional proofreader and copyeditor, and I have worked for many writers in both fiction and nonfiction, as well as some publishing houses and businesses. My rates are always $1 a page! If you would like to see a list of my references or a work history, let me know! autiej@gmail.com

Hi Lynn, iUniverse offers a series of editorial services. Depending on your genre, I'm sure there's an editor who would be a good fit for you and your book.

Lynn - I am a professional independent copy editor/proofreader with a successful background in freelance writing. If you are still looking for a book editor, maybe I can help!

My rates are ALWAYS $1 a page, regardless of "how much work" your manuscript needs - to figure your total cost, just take your word count/300 X $1. I can work quickly, and very close with you so that YOUR book remains just that, and I can get started right away. I only require a 20% up-front payment, and the rest can be paid in monthly installments, or whatever is easiest for you.

My work history is attached! Feel free to contact any of my references, and let me know if I can be of help to you or anyone you know who is looking for an experienced copy editor!

Autumn--thanks. I will definitely be contacting you with my future needs--your experience looks incredible and....you are from my hometown! I graduated from Catholic Central in 1980.

I actually already got my book back from an editor in March. I got a recommendation from a friend shortly after I posted this and hired her in Feb. I will definitely keep you contact info though for the future. Thanks again.
