Making people and ideas findable

Well, I don't need a vet. My cat does. I'm so disgusted with my current vet and am ready for a change. My cat has inflammatory bowel disease, and I need a good vet who can treat him. I'm in Indianapolis on 56th near Georgetown. Any recommendations?

Thanks, Steve. I actually used to take Bo there before I got married and switched. I forgot about them. I'll give them a try again.

My wife is a vet tech in training there. She likes them and pretty professional.

I have been using VCA West 86th for probably 20 years. I've never been disappointed. And, they are also an emergency facility. I like that they have all of our records on hand if I have a night or weekend emergency. And, in that many years, I've had a few.

I hope Kitty gets well soon!

Thanks, Nila. Actually, that's the exact vet I want to stay away from. I don't want to sway your opinion if you're happy with them. I've just been incredibly disappointed and need to find another option. But again, thanks for your suggestion.

Wow. Sorry about that Theresia. They do rotate new vets in and out a lot. Someone new or "old" causing issues for you?

it's someone new. She misdiagnosed Bo earlier this year and since then (and a couple thousand bucks later) has only half-way gotten things right. I thought about seeing if I could switch vets within that office but I don't know if they'd do that. Part of the problem is that my sweet, innocent, friendly, angelic little kitty has to be sedated every time we go to the vet because he turns into Satan himself!!! It seems like every time I pick him up, they've injured him some way outside of what he originally went there for! :-) So, I'm not too impressed with the staff either. Now, when it comes to the dog, they've been terrific. It's just the cat.

When Serif was having problems this year, I kept requesting the same vet so we'd have continuity. They didn't push back. Have you asked to talk to management or someone else. Regardless, in your shoes, I'd be doing the same thing. So, don't think you'll offend me. Bo is family and family comes first. Right?

You got that right! Thanks for listening and for understanding! I'm glad you've found success with them and hope it continues!

MIchigan Road Animal Hospital (bet 71st & 79th) and also a new branch on 96th Street - east of Michigan near the Red Roof Inn. We have 2 bichons and have used MRAH for over 7 years. Excellent care by all DVM's at both sites.

My Yellow Lab, Luke, also has IBD, which is under control. It wouldn't take you too long to get there, but I would recommend Dr. Murphy at Broad Ripple Animal Clinic. She's been there a long time, and cares about both our guys. 257-5334. Good luck...they are so miserable when it is acting up.
