Making people and ideas findable

Marty posch

How would you make an impact in the community or the world?

What are your passions? Lets think big picture here and look at ways that people would like to make an impact in our community and or world. What would you do? What are the issues that YOU are passionate about and how could individuals or a group of individuals work to address that issue?

My passion is in educating people about their own responsibility to be well. I work with one universe at a time.
I believe that healthy and happy society must start from each of us! Being #41 in the World (according the latest UN report) and #48 (Indiana) in the US should give us a hint: something is wrong within our kingdom - our own universe that carries our Name. Parent feed their kids terrible, cause they, poor people, don’t know any better. Being the most advanced country we don’t have a healthy generation.
My mantra is:
1. Diet
2. Digestion
3. Elimination
4. pH Balance
5. Posture
6. Emotions

Some must start with Emotions to balance their lives. Most of us have “weakest link” in our Digestion System – First Line of Defense.
The statement "You are what you eat" is no longer accurate. We can eat the best food in the Earth if our body doesn’t have capability to digest what we put in our mouth it doesn’t do any good to us. It sure does something bad - as now it becomes an elimination problem.
To simplify a new approach "You are what you digest". For those who are ready "You are the energy you took from the food you ate".
pH of our body dictates what we can eat, how much we can exercise, how much water intake should be and more.
For instance: it takes 32(!) bottles of H2O (water) to neutralize 1 bottle of soda's acidity.
My mission in my current life is impact the World by impacting an Individual.
To help others (at least those who are ready) to hold themselves accountable for their own well being. Not our spouses, parents, doctors - its US who must be in charge!
When we give away power to somebody else o heal us we cannot heal from within.

Some people will be really angry at me for saying this, but I would level the economy for a year, placing everyone at the same wage whether a large or small earner--this includes celebrities, pro athletes, etc. The profits would go into the national debt. The people who have been on the low end would possibly be able to catch up a bit, those on the high-end would have a lean year but would see how the rest of the world lives. I am thinking put the entire country at $70,000 for the year. Also, arrange it so that people who want to could buy a modest house no matter what their credit rating is. Also provide free financial advice and medical care for everyone. It is a bit socialist I know, but it would be for one year. I think it would be interesting to see what we would learn from it also. Now I know there are flaws in this idea--goodness knows any of you could find and point them out, but what if we tweaked and sold some version of this idea and did something different in our world for a year? Might be interesting.

These are great ideas both big and small picture. I think the goal is to get people feeling passionate about something and putting that passion into a little bit of perspective. Genie I completely agree that the way that i look at things personally is helping one person at a time. I work with alot of underpriveleged children and it is giving them the motivation and skills to succeed. I also on the other hand realize that as a group of people you can make much more of a difference, which is why i started Giving Sum. 100 people working together to make a difference in the community. I think that sometimes individuals get lost in the grand scheme of things.

Tamara those are great points and looking bit picture like that is HUGE and definitely worthwhile. Thanks for the great posts!

My passion is helping others more than anything. I like to help people grow their businesses and personnally as well. I grew up in a small community that would always work together in hard times. In our ecconomy today we need to find ways as small businesses to work together and help each other grow. Keep an eye out for me to start launching some small groups discussions on pulling people together for a social gathering that will be geared toward getting businesses together to help each other grow. No fees charged, so selling allowed!!!

I also want to start a Non-Profit Company that will run web community to promote christian values. The Lord has been placing something on my hart lately and I want to pray to make sure it is the direction I am supposed to go. Basically to start on online community that will bring christians together and provide them resources to grow in the Lord. As more and more people are spending time online, we need to find better ways to share his word online. I have some ideas but will need to find the right people to help grow this.
