Making people and ideas findable

Hope everyone is still talking about last night in the office this morning. For this Colts fan there is nothing better than seeing Colts beat the Pats, nothing!

Heath insurance is a heavily debated topic right now because of what is going on in the country. As a small business owner I am very worried about the power grab that is being attempted in Washington. Any other business owner should be worried too, especially if they employ other full time workers and do not offer health insurance.

With all the other "business stakes" the government has taken in the private sector, this is the worst one in my opinion. Healthcare represents almost 20% of our GDP. That is a HUGE portion of our economy. Having the government tell me what I can and can’t do is worrisome. The only thing I want the government to tell me is to pay my taxes on the 15 the April every year.

I do feel that some form of reform is needed. I have a type one diabetic wife and a blind and autistic brother. When having to deal with insurance for both of them, and my clients, I have seen it all. Here are areas I feel that can be concentrated on and have the most positive effects for the current system:

* open state lines to increase competition
* lessen length of time for pre existing conditions
* Tort reform
* Electronic files that follow you from dr to dr so tests are not done multiple times

If your insurance costs are getting out of control I suggest you give me a call or drop me a line. I am independent and represent all the major carriers in Indiana. If there is a way to save you money I will be able to provide you that savings. Also, it is open enrollment for seniors (65+). All senior plans must be identical by law, same coverage from company to company. I explain this by asking people how/two different auto dealers can sell the same car for different prices. Its sales! My job is to find you the lowest cost provider, which I have!!

If anyone has questions on any of this give me a call or drop me a line!!

Regards
Matt Murray
