Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

I was one of 6 Hoosiers on the Indy Hub/Zoobilation Official Twitter Team for this year's Zoobilation. This event is seriously amazing. It is one of Indy's largest fund raisers, raising over $1.2 million for the zoo each year. As I've been uploading my pictures on Facebook and other social profiles, I see that there were a few of my friends that also went that I didn't know were attending.

I'm curious, did you go or do you know folks that did? If so, do you have pictures that you would like to share?

If you attended, was this your first time? What did you think of the event?

I got it! Thanks so much!! Do you mind if I use some of the pics in a blog post?

No problem, Nicki--I don't mind--but that's only because those aren't my pictures--you would have to ask Ben though i doubt he would have a problem with it (he's the guy who actually brought the Gamelan group to the event--he's based in Indy--just look under who's photo album that is and ask him!).

No, But I had fun following those of you who did on Twitter. Too funny. Note To Self: Vodka makes people silly when consumed en masse. Just sayin' ;)

Funny enough, I only had a very short buzz at the start of the event. After the miles that I walked and the amount of food I consumed, it was all a wash. :)

Yes, I attended Zoobilation and I try to attend every year! It is a fabulous event and I always have a great time. Unfortunately my camera was dead, but as I receive photos from my friends, I will forward!!!

Thank you Deborah! I was Tweeting the whole night, but then my phone died at about 10 p and I forgot my camera, so all the pics I got were from my phone. Definite notes to remember for next year! I enjoyed myself nonetheless... This is such an awesome event to attend!

It was our first time...we've always been out of town before, it seems. I didn't realize what a big deal it is, just in the sheer number of places represented. I was one of the (I use this term as loosely as humanly possible) celebrity judges, so I was eating by 6 and was already full by 8. Was I not pacing myself well? :)

We didn't get any pics. Too lazy to put the food down, I guess!

It was just soo much fun!! The food was fantastic and the wine, drinks, and socializing were free-flowing..... I didn't know people were tweeting (I have been Twitter MIA).....somehow, I missed the sign.

I loved having several bands playing in different locations.....next year, I think I will buy some fru fru sparkly flip-flops as my heels came off after hour 3. I just took one group photo (was too busy eating to get more).....
