Making people and ideas findable

I have an audio recording on cassette that I need to have converted to either CD or an mp3 file. It's about 90 minutes long.

1. Which would be better - CD or mp3
2. Where do I have this done?

In my personal experience with audio formats either one will be just fine for the quality. Unless you are an audiophile you will probably not be able to hear the difference between the two. If you are interested in saving this, and not having a chance for lost data on a hard drive or a flash drive, I would suggest doing both. Have it put onto a CD first, as that is easier and usually cheaper, and then save that file on your computer.

There are several places that can do that for you. With a quick search on Google I found this website that does that fairly reasonable. The only thing that I might suggest, since the file is so long, is that you put it on a DVD rather than a CD as you will have more space and will not run the risk of losing data to get it all on one disc. I wish you luck in your efforts!

Amy,
DVC on the eastside of Indy can do that for you at a very reasonable cost. You can contact them at 317-544-2150. Their president JAD Porter is a smoosier.

Great idea, Ricky -- do both! And thanks Jeff for the recommendation.
