Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

Hello!

My name is Amanda Balser. I attended Ball State University's Fine Arts program. After attending for 4 solid years, I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications. I'm now in the search for a productive and fulfilling design opportunity.

I have had many opportunities in the past couple of years to round out my interests in the arts industry. I have worked as an Account Coordinator at Cardinal Communications, while also being involved in AIGA's Indianapolis chapter for 3 years. Upon graduation I worked as a Web Consultant Intern at Exceedion Web Design and Development, and as a photographers assistant for Silver Lotus Photography; both located in Fishers.

Currently, I have had the opportunity to work in retail as a sales associate for Charlotte Russe, a trendy clothing store for young women. Working there has given me a better understanding for fashion and style, store layout, floor planning, and even the smallest of store details that mean a lot for better business.

My experience to date totals to about a years worth of experience. My computer skills are high, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite 2 and 3, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Microsoft Office. My latest project is teaching myself the advanced used of Flash. In fine arts, I love working with acrylic paints, metals, photography and even framing.

I would love to learn more about the various opportunities out there for design degrees, as I believe I am very rounded. My resume is attached, please feel free to contact me or even give me some advice. Thank-you for your time!
