The same ol' resolution will be one of mine this year... Get back in shape. I have the gym membership, and I will put my workouts on the calendar just as I do client meetings.

My second one is to get my own business up and running by March. I'm excited about it!

And one more; spend more quality time with family and friends. I've realized moreso than ever this year that I spend way too much time working, and that I need to spend more time with friends.

What are your resolutions?

Building my business is definitely up there.

My number one is to start each day with some time to myself. This has been a challenge, but I now that it keeps me focused and calm so that I can accomplish more. I'm still working on what this will exactly look like---but I know I'm going to do it.

My resolutions for 2009 is to get more organized.

I already have my own business but wish to grow my team and move into Directorship so I can lead a team of Strong Sharp Women.

My goal is to be more consistant with my Business and my sales.

Great ones Becky. Do you have any ideas about how to become more organized? Just curious. I'm always looking for more ideas on that as well.

This year I hope to achieve many things.
1. To really get my Event/Wedding Consulting Buisniss as my main income, and to find more contacts.
2. Find a Part-time job
3. Spend more time volunteering/ helping others

Most of all I Plan to make myself the best self I can be.
thanks Lynn for making this post.

Daniele----all very good and ambitious. What kind of part time work are you looking for? I have several networks I belong to and I have another day job with connections. I'm always keeping my eyes open. Also--what kind of volunteer work--any ideas? Just looking to help and support you.

2009 Will be my BEST YEAR EVER!!!!

I feel that finally things are in place for everything in my life to skyrocket personally and professionally. My husband got laid off in 2008...and is still looking! (UGH!) But that has made us stronger, made me look into my own dreams and potential! I have finally started my own business, Weddings/Events/Expos via WOWpreneurs. I have also just found a way to fund those dreams. One of my goals will be how to balance everything, while maintaining the bottome line...my family!

Good Luck to Us All!!!!

Great attitude Jennifer! I believe you.

I agree on the balance issue---always needs to be in place.

Follow your dreams and keep them always in front of you. You'll do it in 2009 with the attitude that you have.

Let me know if I can ever be of help in supporting you.

This will be a big year for me too! I have resolutions for both my personal and professional life. I am not going to limit myself because the possibilities are endless. Like all the other lovely ladies who replied, I have big goals and high hopes for 2009. I plan to develop my professional connections, establish new friendships and grow my business. I am a financial planner and I love what I do! I intend to help as many people as possible so they can reach their own goals. Especially during these uncertain economic times, people have a lot of questions and I want to help answer them. I plan to do all of this by providing the top level of service to my current clients and meeting as many new people as possible. I am also currently enrolled in a professional course of study in my field in order to further my education.
On a personal level, like many others have noted, I want to have some balance in my life. I have lots of plans and ambitions, but it's also important to stop and smell the roses. I often have to remind myself that life is a journey and not a destination. I know that I need to consistently remind myself of that, as I sometimes tend to be too forward-thinking and don't take enough time to enjoy the present. I want to take time for myself and my family. I'm planning my wedding, which will take place in August, so I want to enjoy all the preparations, the big day itself and the start of our married life together.

Great question, Lynn! It certainly makes you think more specifically about your goals!

2009 will be a great year! That's the best attitude to have.

I don't really do the resolutions thing, but I do plan to accomplish two big goals this year: 1) starting my own business and 2) finding a new home. Other than those two big items, I plan on just being the best person I can be and more importantly - the best Mom I can be. I will continue to try and enjoy every day and always count my blessings, as there are many!

Happy New Year to all and I hope everyone achieves their goals and/or resolutions!

Wow Lorin--you have two really big things going on! Congrats on diving in and taking those on. It will be easier for you I'm sure when you focus on being the best person and mom you can be. Let me know if you need any real estate references. I know several in the area.
