Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

I'm in the final days of the 2,000 Books in 2 Weeks for Indy Youth campaign. See more here or here on Smaller Indiana. If you have books to donate, contact me here, via email, by phone, through Twitter...whatever works best for you. If we can work it out so that I can pick them up, I'll be there.

Also, Friday 6/26 between 12 and 2, the MCCOY office in the United Way of Central Indiana building on Meridian north of 38th can take books.

I appreciate all who've given energy and books. I especially want to call out Nicki Laycoax who has been incredibly supportive in in both ways. She filled my Scion Xb with books earlier this week. Nicki, you are a gift to our community.

Right now I have somewhere between 700 and 800 books sitting in my garage and living room. I believe we can still make it to 2,000 by 4pm on Monday. That's when I have to have them in my hands. It really is the drop dead date. No sandbagging. Really.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Nila, I have 50 or more books for kids from preschool on up. Where can I take them Monday? Or if it is convenient for you, I will be just inside the 34th Street & Boulevard Place gate to Crown Hill Cemetery tonight from 7 - 7:30 pm if you want to swing by and get them.

Nila,

I just Tweeted about it again. Hopefully you'll get more this weekend! Thanks for mentioning my name. I was glad to help!

Actual count this afternoon: 865. Plus $100 donation. I don't know if anyone took books to MCCOY on Friday, so the number could be higher. Thanks to all again!
