Event Description

Local Artist Grabs Indianapolis Art Scene By the Horns with Solo Show at Wug Laku’s Studio & Garage Gallery

Up-and-Coming artist Cagney King will unveil her paintings to the Indianapolis art community July 3 in a solo show entitled, “Cagney @ Wug’s.” The show will be featured during Indianapolis’ First Friday Art Event at Wug Laku’s Studio & Garage Gallery from 6pm to 9pm.

The Gallery is located at the Circle Center Industrial Complex, 1125 Brookside Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46202.

King will display popular pieces recently featured in Issue #6 of the London-based on-line magazine NewSugar and introduce several new works.

King’s paintings encompass a wide range of media, and take the viewer on a journey of abstract and contemporary expression through textures and loose palettes.

“I am so excited about the opportunity to engage a new audience with my work. Painting is something that is very much alive inside of me,” says King. “As long as I am painting, I can look forward to tomorrow.”

King’s show will run through July 31st. Wug Laku’s Studio and Garage regular hours are Fridays and Saturdays, 12 – 4 pm.

Samples of King’s works as well as more information can be viewed at http://www.cagneyking.com.
